It is said that the organs of the body are directly connected with specific points in the hands, feet and ears. Reflexology makes sure to stimulate these areas by applying pressure to improve the functioning of the organ system. Dating back to 2330 BC, the oldest discovery on reflexology was found in hieroglyphs at an egyptian physician's tomb. These characters resembled modern reflexology sessions, and similar practices were found in China and India later on. The knowledge on reflexology was orally shared, but it wasn't until 1913 were the founding father of reflexology, Dr. William Fitzgerald, shared his findings about the zones and presure points in the body that could create numbness, relieve pain, and improve certain organ functions.
